Update on SymSoil Production Hub #1 Solano County

Preparing the ground for farming microbes

cow and hay 2
We had hoped to use the ChipDrop app to get the wood chips for our space in Suisun Valley.
Unfortunately, ChipDrop.com is not going to work for Hub #1 in the north eastern corner of San Francisco Bay Area.  The app is essentially a curb drop for homeowners, involves numerous random sources of one-off loads, not under our control and with no direct contact.  The two companies Peter lined up are both high volume and will work directly with the SymSoil Team.
We are pursuing good rates on rental tractors, but will use David’s contacts for the initial grading work.
The prior SymSoil update can be found here.
The relevance of cows?  Everyone knows the difference between cows and hay, but most people don’t understand the difference between compost and soil microbes.  The important part is the living biology.  Most compost does not contain life – its’ great organic matter for the soil microbes to eat, like cows eat hay.  SymSoil farms microbes to benefit organic farmers.
