SymSoil Production Hub #1 Suisun Valley Update

Things are coming together at SymSoil’s first production hub in Suisun Valley.  Although all the pieces are not yet in phplace, we expect a few more key tasks to be accomplished in the next few days that will allow us to have a team work session next Thursday and Friday, March 20 and 21.  This will accomplish the first stages of our hub build-out and start actual operations with the fungal bins and perhaps more.
This date is contingent on completion of the initial site prep by the contractor on Saturday (firm) and at least one bin – possibly four – by the contractor  by Thursday (probable).
Also expected by or on Thursday are the following:
About 60 yards of chips have been delivered to the site, for spreading on Saturday
Woods chip deliveries in quantity to continue starting Monday
Delivery of 120 yards of Vision compost, will be set in 2 windrows parallel to the barn 50-100 feet from the barn to allow first 50 x 175 feet for all fungal and mother culture activities
Delivery of rental tractor
Delivery of 13 x 28 tent
Following is a list of tasks and activities, in no particular order, that could be undertaken over two days

  •             Set up and fill fungal bins
  •             Grade and Spread Chips
  •             Tractor check-out and training for all potential operators
  •             Tent Setup
  •            Move and Setup Tea Brewer
  •             Testing of pumps and blowers
  •             Water/hot water hook-up
  •             Local Sales Call
  •             Planning session(s) for work/operations plan
  •             KNF/IM  intro and planting
