In breaking news, we have rented a New Holland Boomer 47 Tractor will be delivered sometime tomorrow, Friday.
Sam and Peter independently reached the decision to rent a Kubota tractor, in any event, so we will likely have both machines on site Saturday with at least as much tractor work to do as both can handle.
Katharine and Peter will be visiting the site tomorrow, to get a jump on the work she has set up for us on the cultures in the new bins, which should be sporting their new lids tomorrow as well. Saturday will be a full day of road grading material placement, Mikey retrofitting and trials and housekeeping setup.
In other news, Matt Banchero, the Tree-Hugging Tree Cutter http://www.thetreehuggingtreecutter.com/ will be visiting the site tomorrow to offer his thoughts on managing the ever-increasing supply of woody biomass, including biochar production, poplar as substrate for fungal production, hugelkultur, chipping, transplantation of kiwi vines and more.
Our landlord recently acknowledged his pleasure with the progress of operations with SymSoil in recent days. Next up, a strong push to ramp up Katharine Hinson’s fungal cultures to the scale needed to make Batch Two deliveries. Last time, it was Cuauh Landeros running the fungal cultures, but he is traveling in Mexico.
