CEO/Founder
Elizabeth Pearce is a finance and investment professional, with over 25 years of experience.
For nearly a decade, she specialized in inter-generational wealth preservation strategies for successful individuals and high net-worth families. She has been an advisor to multiple startups, including service, manufacturing and green companies.
A fifth-generation Californian, Elizabeth spent her early childhood in Taiwan before the family returned to California. She has an undergraduate and MBA from the University of California, Berkeley and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Katharine Hinson,
President, Science/Co-Founder
Katharine has been working on organic farms her entire life. Originally from Ohio, she has 12 years of experience cultivating plants in Oregon and California.
Her expertise is in Korean Natural Farming and other Asian composting methods. She has a focus on a variety of approaches to composting.

Cuauhtomec Landeros
Vice President Science & Operations/Co-Founder
Cuauhtomec has been trained in Advanced Permaculture Design and the Soil Food Web. His passion is using the composting traditions of indigenous peoples of the Americas.
His research has taken him to Peru to learn about the fungal banking traditions of the descendants of the Incas for potato farming. He has taught permaculture farming and composting in California, Oregon, Hawaii, Peru, Haiti and Mexico.

Peter Hirst,
Director of Co-Product Development,
Co-Founder
Peter is a nationally recognized leader in biochar and related agricultural activities, as a principal contribution author toThe Biochar Revolution. Peter has been a guest speaker at every domestic biochar conference since 2009.
He has trained in Holistic Management with the Savory Institute and received his Permaculture Design Certificate studying directly with Albert Bates at the Ecovillage Training Center at The Farm in Summertown, Tennessee.
